To exercise any of your California privacy rights, you may submit a verifiable consumer request to National Benefit Alliance through the following methods:

You do not need to create an account with us to submit a privacy rights request, though creating an account may simplify the verification process. We will make reasonable efforts to verify your identity without requiring excessive personal information. If we cannot verify your identity, we will notify you and explain the reasons.

7. Response Timing and Delivery

Upon receiving a verifiable consumer request, National Benefit Alliance will respond within forty-five (45) days. If we need additional time to process your request, we will provide a written notice explaining the delay and the date by which we expect to provide the response, which shall be no later than ninety (90) days from the date of your request.

We will deliver our response by mail or electronic means, at your request and in a portable and readily useable format. If you request specific pieces of personal information we have collected, we will provide this information in a format that is easily transferable to another organization.

8. Authorized Agents

You may authorize an agent to make privacy rights requests on your behalf. If you designate an authorized agent to submit a request, we will require the agent to provide proof of authorization, such as a power of attorney or other legal document. We may also ask the agent to verify their identity and the consumer's identity directly.

9. Limitation on Requests

You may submit two verifiable consumer requests for access to your personal information within a twelve-month period without undue burden. We will not charge a fee for processing requests unless they are excessive or repetitive. If we determine a request is excessive or repetitive, we will explain our reasoning and provide you with the option to modify your request.

10. Appeals Process

If we deny your request for access, deletion, or opt-out, we will provide a written explanation of the reasons for the denial. You have the right to appeal our denial by submitting a request for review to privacy@nationalbenefitalliance.org.
